Dear Friends & Family,

Our ever-popular Open Chat Night, conducted every Wednesday, is one way that DeafandHoH.com strives to fulfill our mission of promoting confident social interaction and open communication within the deaf and hard of hearing community. In order to better serve this community, we are raising funds for a brand new online chat room, and we need your help.

This new chat room is estimated to cost around $5,000. As part of an overarching design to make our chat room more visually accessible for our users, we plan to provide larger font sizes, adjust the color palette for maximum contrast, and add key shortcuts for easier navigation. A newer, updated chat room will also enable more members to join at one time, thus reducing technical difficulties and encouraging a more inclusive atmosphere.

In keeping with DeafandHoH.com's mission of promoting open communication among those in the hearing loss community, we strive to provide a safe, secure forum where everyone can freely share their experiences. Because we are not affiliated with any larger organizations, we depend on donors like you to help us serve our deaf and hard of hearing community. Thus, any donation toward our new chat room, no matter the amount, would move us one step closer to our goal.
