Support Stranded Deaf Adolescent Children in Peru

Help Holly Wissler Expose the Issues Deaf Children Face in Peru

In Peru, education for deaf children stops at 6th grade. Recently the Ministry of Education passed a law that all deaf children must be integrated into the regular school system, yet there are no trained interpreters so it is a failed system. After adopting her deaf Q’ero son Dante, our friend and cultural specialist Holly Wissler has set out to educate a greater audience about the struggles that deaf children face in Peru in hopes of developing a more effective education system.

Holly is in the funding stages to produce her third documentary, which will shed light on the issues that deaf children face in Peru in order to develop a more effective, long-term education solution. If this issue is important to you, which we believe it is, then please donate.

For donations of $100 or more, you will receive 10% off the Peru Expedition of your choice and a copy of Holly’s DVD once it is completed. If you would like to make a larger contribution to Holly’s project or are interested in learning about the cause, please visit Paragon Expeditions: Dante's Story or our article in the Lake Travis View  http://www.statesman.com/news/news/local/hearing-from-the-heart/nqmGN/
