Over the past ten years my mom has underwent multiple surgeries from gallstones and tumors all the way up to last year where she had pieces of her lower back shatter and had to get them removed and could not work for an entire year as well as causing her to lose feeling in her bottom leg, and part of her foot. The insurance company refused to pay for disability leaving her with months of unpaid bills, car notes, and rent. If not for the help of God and many many wonder people and doctors, I don't know how we would have made it.
Aside from the medical, before surgery she had just left a 20 year abusive relationship with my father, took custody of all five of us, worked two jobs 7 days a week, and asking relatives to borrow money--just to put food on the table. She was recently diagnosed with diabetes which will inevitably start to cost as well.
The $10,000 would help her get caught up with the current rent ($1050), pay for current and past due heat/electricity bills, give her enough to buy food for her and my siblings, money for her car note, physical therapy for her to help with the healing of her back, and old medical bills.
Fun Fact about her: She is trying to get her business license to help start her own business to raise awareness for her kidney disease, and her own website that helps single mothers find jobs and support.
I can't stress enough how much she has sacrificed for all five of us! She has such a big heart and never stops smiling. Please help me help her!
