I just talked to Madison on the phone for a few minutes. She had a rough night as she was in a lot of pain, but she's rallying this morning and getting a little rest. She was very cheerful on the phone! Her favorite word these days is "hope" and she was very excited about a bracelet she received as a gift this morning that says, "hope". I'm posting some very dramatic "before and after" surgery x-rays through this link! The difference is astounding! She has very soft bones, so the screws didn't hold as they should in every spot, but overall, the surgery was very successful. Please pray for quick healing for her!
Madison underwent surgery for about 8 hours today. Multiple ribs were removed along with pieces of her spine. Rods and screws were inserted. SHE IS NOW IN RECOVERY AND AWAKE! She is in a lot of pain, so please continue to pray for her.
In true happy-go-lucky "Madison style" she wanted us to tell you, "Hey everybody, I'm OK!" (See photo below for her lovely smile).
We are all beyond grateful. God is good! Thank you for all of your prayers and continued support!
Quick update: Madison goes in for surgery at 9 AM tomorrow morning. I will post another update tomorrow, once she is out of surgery. Please continue to keep Madison and the entire family in your thoughts and prayers!
Thank you for your continued support of this page. If you have a moment, please share it with your friends and family! It makes a huge difference to this family right now.
The $500 in donations received on Friday literally doubled overnight and this morning. I've been communicating with my brother and he is beyond grateful to each and every one of you! This will really help with past and future medical bills. Thank you, thank you!
Dear Family and Friends,
This page is intended to raise money for the Petrolle family as they are enduring a season of tremendous and overwhelming medical issues.
If you don't already know this, Dawn Petrolle suffered a serious stroke at the end of August. She continues to recover and grow stronger every day, but she is also encountering new medical challenges and is facing another surgery in December. We are SO hopeful that she will make a full recovery! She has come so far already and she has a FANTASTIC support team of family and friends praying for her and
cheering her on. :)
In addition to Dawn's stroke, Madison, Dawn's daughter, will be having a long and complex spine surgery this Monday morning (December 2nd) beginning at 7:30 AM. Following her surgery, she will have weeks of recovery. If you know Madison at all, she is a fighter and has always been so strong! Regardless, she is nervous about the surgery and needs as much encouragement and prayer as possible!
The goal set for this fundraiser is a lofty goal. We would like to do whatever possible; however, to help the Petrolles during this discouraging time. We know that God will continue to care for Dawn, Madison, and the entire Petrolle family in the coming weeks and months. Thank you all for your generosity, but most of all, thank you for your prayers and kinds thoughts for the Petrolles during this time!
