David Rosenberg Memorial CJ Cabin

Donación protegida
Everyone loved David Rosenberg. His friendships were far-reaching and long-standing. It was impossible to resist his conversational ease, warm smile, and "giant teddy bear" demeanor. David was passionate with opinions and causes dear to his heart, and he came from a family that priortized community, patriotism, service to others, and pride in being Jewish.

One of David's greatest loves was Camp Judaea (CJ), the summer camp that he attended as both a camper and a counselor. This camp gave rise to many of David's most long-standing and meaningful friendships and was pivotal in the devolpment of his own personal Jewish identity. Camp Judaea was also where David's extended family spent many of their summers as campers and staff, as well. This allowed CJ to serve as a constant venue for making memories and enjoying time with his large, extended circle of cousins, along with the many individuals he thought of as family. Throughout his life, he remained a devoted supporter and enthusiast of Camp Judaea, to the extent that he fostered the same sense of wonderment and excitement about CJ in his son, Evan, who still attends CJ as one of the many happy next generation of enthusiastic campers.

In February, David's life ended prematurely following a brief illness, and those of us left behind continue to stuggle with what the future looks like without him in it.
There is no legacy more appropriate to memorialize our beloved David than a permanent structure that improves the experience for the future generations of CJ campers. (With exception, perhaps, of a large statue of a Georgia Bulldog.)

Camp Judaea's cabins broaden the types of quality experiences that CJ families have come to expect and rely upon.  These amazing cabins (that are the envy of all campers who have to stay in the "old" cabins) require $180,000 to name the structure.  Thanks to the generosity of some of David's closest friends and family, we have already recieved donations totaling close to $125,000 to fund a David Rosenberg memorial cabin.  We are asking his extended friends and family to help us reach our goal and bridge the remaining $55,000 gap. No amount is too small, and all efforts are both tax-deductable and appreciated beyond words. Large gifts over $5,000 can be paid over multiple years (please contact me for details).

I ask for your help in remembering an individual who will be extraordinarily missed and who was loved by so many. Please contribute to the David Rosenberg Memorial Camp Judaea Cabin to help ensure that David's legacy of love for children and devotion to his beloved summer camp endures for decades to come.
