Daryl needs a wheelchair

Hello, my name is Cynthia Bickford. My husband Daryl is a loving husband, father and loyal friend to everyone, including complete strangers. He says, a stranger is just a friend I haven't met yet. Lol. Daryl is the best role model any kid or man could have. He is always helping others and would always volunteer at our church. One day while lifting a garbage can. I herd my husbands back snap from 6 feet away. He said it was sore but okay. Two and a half years later Daryl gradually became paralyzed below the waste and was in the most agonizing pain I'd ever seen a human being suffer through. Turns out that the snap we herd was his spine snapping completely in two!! It began to shift forward over time and crushing the nerves in the spinal column. Daryl had two 11 hour surgeries in two days. Then 5 more over the next few years. Including a mechanical pump that  automatically administers morphine directly into his spinal cord.  Daryl will never work again. He lost is job, his trade, his identity, most of his friends and yet I see him fight to become the best man he can be in his punishing condition.  He can barely walk.  He can't even shower when he needs it because he would have to walk to it. I know he wants to so bad, He struggles with his pain and still manages to smile and be kind to people, even with tears in his eyes. The insurance will only pay for a really heavy beat up wheelchair that will not go strait and he can't load it In The car because of the weight. It's very heavy and bulky.  His lifting is limited to 15-20 lbs. ( which is also very painful for him) so he is imprisoned in our home 24 hrs a day Alone.  The pain keeps him up all hours of the night so even when we are home he can't hardly stay awake to visit with us. The kids are at school and I work so many hours just to keep our head above water. We can't afford cable. So he's stuck with nothing to occupy him. He dose read a lot. He can't leave to attend doctors appointments, the boys footbal games. He misses church almost all the time. He's in so much pain. Some days he never gets out of bed. For days at a time! Because walking hurts to bad! No exercise, no socializing. Daryl badly needs this chair to regain his.....our lives back. He can't go shopping with us, or the park, or school plays. He just wants to go for a walk. But dose not have a chair he can use. The chair he has. He can't even unfold it or use it on flat ground because of the weight. Will you please help make our family whole again? We are a very close family of four. But, wherever we go......we are always one short. Please give Daryl his life back?
