Did you know? According to the CDC, nearly 157,000 high school students in the USA attempt to commit suicide every year? A total of 4,600 high school students' lives are lost to suicide every year!
My name is Daniel Bauer and I am an escape artist and magician! For the last four years I have made it a personal mission to inspire high school students to never give up on their dreams! I empower them to believe in their self-worth and provide them with REAL tools to conquer life's many pressures!
See, I lost my baby brother Andy and had to bury him back in 2010. He never felt loved. Shortly after, I tried to take my own life. I was so lost. So afraid to ask for help. So afraid I would never be loved. I am grateful that I have found the courage to ask for help and to fight for my dreams! My life today is simply beyond belief.
There have been many stories of hope which I have witnessed as a result of presenting my latest high school program titled: It is Time to Set the Passion for Your Life on Fire!
See, an 18 year old high school student who heard me speak two years ago came up to me following a presentation I gave a few months ago (this is a school that has invited me back to speak 4 years in a row now). Before one word could come out of his mouth, he bursted into tears and told me that after hearing me speak (back-then) he realized he did not want to give up on (end) his life (he was suicidal) . He told me that by me coming to his school and sharing my life's experiences with loss, surival and triumph he was able to find hope in his own life. Today he is now the captain of his wrestling team, fighthing each day with hope and waking up with a purpose.
I have listened to (too many) stories about addiction, abortion, depression, sexuality, living with HIV, bullying and so much more from students who have approached me after my talks! Each of them yearning to know they are not alone and that it is okay to ask for help!
I have a very aggressive project and I need your help to make it a reality! There are 157,000 high school students who need a glimmer of hope!
I know that my personal story of loss, survival and hope . . . my talks, my approach can (and is) absolutely making a magical difference in promoting positive cultural and social shifts in high school environments! Here is what I need your help with!! The plan is to continue to inspire as many high school students' lives as possible!!! I can only do this with your support!
(1) Tour 12 U.S cities to speak at high schools during weekdays with my highly acclaimed program "It Is Time to Set the Passion for Your Life on Fire!!!" The total estimated student outreach is 180,000+. The cities where I plan to speak are: New York (NY), Newark (NJ), Philadelphia (PA), Las Vegas (NV), Chicago (IL), Detroit (MI), Miami (FL), Orlando (FL), Portland (OR), Atlanta (GA),Memphis (TN) and Minneapolis (MN) - [and now a 13th City, Baltimore, (MD)].
The estimated cost to travel (air, bus or train) to all 12 cities, and spend a week in a motel/hotel + meals - to speak at no less than one high school per day is $9,000. Plans to make appearances at homeless shelters and more are also being planned. All of the schools where I plan to speak at can't afford fees for life-motivational-speakers. This is such a vital component to building healthy school environments. Please contribute today!! (2) Release of my book "Beyond Belief: Escape to Survival" and provide each school with 30 copies for in-school use! The book is currently in the final writing phase and will move to editing phase with Infinity Publishing by May 15th. The fee for editing and distribution is $3,700.

(3) Beyond Belief , the theatrical experience to return to New York City for 12 weeks performed on weekends only. The tenative space being looked at is The Grand Theater. I need your help with the expensesand sart up expenses for the theater rental in New York City. For use of the space, filming, editing, etc the estimated cost is: $9,000. There is enough chaos in this world and I have been really successful at inspiring high school students to overcome many of the social, peer, economic and mental pressures with which they are faced. It is time for our nation to believe in the joy of magic once again!!
