HELP WANDA FIGHT CANCER

This page is for a dear friend, wife and mother who's life took a dramatic change July of this year. This is when Wanda Henslee was diagnosed with stage 3 Sarcoma soft tissue breast cancer. This is an agressive form of cancer that unfortunately has already moved in to her lungs. After a double masectomy they were informed that her cancer is now stage 4. She had her first chemotherapy treatment on August 18th. Wanda is very positive about both her diagnosis and treatment and is trusting in her Savior to carry her through.
"Cast thy burden upon the LORD, and he shall sustain thee: he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved." Psalm 55:22
Wanda is married to a wonderful man, Ken Henslee, who is there to support her physically, mentally and spiritually. They are blessed with 2 wonderful daughters who still live at home. Ken and Wanda have sacrifically taken care of their daughters and helped them with their needs. Now they are helping take care of her. Despite their own medical needs they are doing everything they can to support their mom in her time of need.
"Her children arise up, and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praiseth her." Proverbs 31:28
Ken is the sole provider for this family of 4. This makes it very difficult financially to make ends meet with new medical bills added to an already full plate. There are several copays for Dr. visits, surgeries, check ups, ongoing bloodwork, chemo, prescription copays and all the other routine things that come along with a cancer diagnosis. There are also several extra tests and scans that come along with cancer treatment that are not covered by insurance at all due to restrictions in how many are covered in a certain time period. There are many other costs associated that people may not think of like time off work, extra gas money spent driving to the city several times a month (sometimes several times a week), wear and tear on the car, eating out when appointments last from morning to evening, new clothing for a new figure and that's just the beginning!
" Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others." Phillipians 2:4
Most important is the emotional and spiritual effects of cancer. Cancer not only affects the one it resides in, but those who are closest and near and dear. PRAY for the Henslee family. Pray for Wanda, for healing and a continuance of faith in the Lord and to trust in Him and His will. Pray for the family, for their continuance of faith as well. Pray for them to be patient and lean on God through tough days. Pray for all of their unknown needs, things we on the outside will never know or understand. PRAYER is the most important thing in their fight against cancer.
"Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need." Hebrews 4:16
