Many people have pets, and many people consider those pets to be family. We love our dogs, cats, birds and other animals deeply. Imagine how heartbreaking it would be to lose your pet, especially if their death was preventable.
Every year, approximately 40,000 pets die in house fires. Often, fire departments do not have the equipment needed to resuscitate animals who may have suffered from smoke inhalation.
Our goal is to help lower that number by providing our local fire departments with pet oxygen masks which can be used when a pet must be rescued from a fire.
Any donations that we get will go towards the donation of pet oxygen mask kits.
As of now, our town of Bloomfield, NJ, is in need of four mask kits. Our neighboring town of Nutley is in need of two.
Please consider donating. If you have pets and live in either of these towns, consider it an investment in the safety of your animal(s).
In order to buy all six kits we will need to raise $540. If we surpass this goal, we will use the extra money to reach out to fire departments in other communities to ensure that they, too, have the masks needed to save our furry friends.
These rollover of funds will not be limited strictly to New Jersey. We are open to helping fire departments in other states as well, especially if we receive donations from a person in that state.
With each purchase we will provide proof that the money used was spent on the masks by posting our Sponsor Certificates.
