Hi folks!
After working for two years, I decided that going back to college was a huge step I wanted to take. I originally was going to attend my local community college, but because of a falling through, that is not possible. Because of this, I've decided to take a fresh start and leave Knoxville to go to Roanoke, Virginia and attend Hollins University this fall! This was an incredibly last minute decision and my move-in date is 08/31/2014. Because I spent the summer taking classes full-time to get ahead, I am not currently employed and do not have money to spare. Because of this, I am lacking 400.00$ for my enrollment deposit as well as a little extra to pay for dorm necessities and to make sure I have some emergency money for school. My family has been put under a lot of stress by this last minute decision and unfortunately do not have any money to help, which is why I've created this fund. My mother is attempting to sell a lot of what we have-- including her very special jewelry. As much as I would love to attend Hollins, I really do not want my family to go to such extreme lengths to get me there, which is where you all come in! Please consider donating just a little money (even if it's a dollar, really!) to help me go towards my dream school.
