Eddie's Push For Our Veterans

22 VETERAS COMMIT SUICIDE EACH AND EVERY DAY! I want to help these men and women who helped protect our freedom. Eddie Block is going to push a special wheelchair from Lompoc, CA to Washington DC in 2017. Eddie is doing this to promote veteran awareness, and help raise money for local veteran programs in each community we stop in. Eddie Block is a past Exalted Ruler from the Madera Elks Lodge who has a huge heart for veterans. His father srved 21 years in the USAF but unfortunately died from a heart attack at the young age of 41. We believe that Eddie's father's death was in part due to his exposure to Agent Orange during his service. Eddie has Spina Bifida and 7 other birth defects known to be caused by Agent Orange. His stepfather was also a member of the USAF.
This trip will take around 75 days to complete. We need to raise money to pay for gas for a chase vehicle, gas, food, lodging, medical needs, the racing wheelchair, parts, insurance and training.

When Eddie stops in each city, he will help to raise funds for local veterans. Eddie will not accept any money in any way. The money will stay and go to local veterans programs. Any money that is raised by this site and not Used will be deposited into the Elks National Veterans fund for veterans.
