I am writing and directing a documentary entitled “Tagged” which explores the social significance of street art, freedom of self-expression and the law, and highlights the tension between street artists and law enforcers. The film focuses on a Houston, Texas U.S.A. based graffiti artist, his experiences and the undulating effects of a solitary action.
Over the past six months I have recruited an impressive team of talents: musicians to score the project, a photographic partner to shoot stills, a music director for supervision, as well as artistic lighting architects and sound support. I am also receiving invaluable training and mentoring from a local film company that has agreed to donate editing services. I am truly humbled by the enormous amount of support I have received so far from the brilliant professionals surrounding me.
NOW I NEED YOUR HELP!
This effort is the initial fundraiser that will allow me to launch my media production company. While I have managed to build a simple DSLR camera rig to shoot my project (all self-funded) I am missing critical pieces of gear necessary to take the project to the next level; which includes shooting the trailer and teaser for the next round of fund raising to cover production. Filmmaking is expensive!
My goal is raise $10,000 to fully launch my production company.
Once the funding is secured, I will create a private social media page to introduce all of you, my supporters and contributors, to my production team and take you on a virtual tour of my studio. I will use the site to update you on my progress until the film is completed. In addition to documentary film production, my team and I will work on other social media projects including music videos and educational media productions.
