New Camera and Lens

Hey Folks,
The camera I use for taking pictures that go on www.dorahighschool.com is worn out. I take most of my personal photographs with my iPhone so the only time I use this one is when I'm shooting events for the Dora High School alumni site.
I would like to replace my old camera with a new one with a lens that will do the trick.
If any of you would like to pitch in a few bucks to help me buy a new one, it would be appreciated. I will post a thank you letter on the site and the Facebook page listing contributors
I'm saving my money now, and I will get the new camera at some point even without contributors, but hopefully a few folks will pitch in which will allow me to get it sooner.
