Help Shaquira return to QU

Hi everyone my name is Shaquira Coulter. This upcoming semester (Fall14) I will be a junior at Quinnipiac University located in Hamden, CT and I am thrilled. I never knew how fast these years could fly by until now. At Quinnipiac, I study biomedical sciences with two minors’ microbiology and sociology. With the looks of my major, I know you must think it is difficult. Without a doubt it is, but I am very determined and I am striving for success. Over the past two years my classes have been amazing, thanks to the great professors my college provides us with. Also with the help of the learning center tutors they make it possible for me to conquer difficult courses. My overall goal is to become a neonatal doctor (a doctor that works with premature babies). For years this has been my dream. The first reason is I enjoy being a caretaker. Second, I adore children. Third, my junior year in high school I lost my grandmother due to improper care. As a result it pushed me even more to work in a field where I could be the best caregiver so no one else would experience the pain I had previously felt. The reason I am writing this letter is because I need your help in order to achieve my goal of finishing college at Quinnipiac. Within these two years it has been a struggle paying for college. I must say it is pretty expensive and my mother is on disability. As a young adult I try to take on the role of being independent. I have worked multiple jobs and applied to many scholarships but unfortunately it still is not enough. Help me reach my goal!!
