Eagle Project for AYS

My name is Brian Beagan. I am a 17- year old Life Scout with Troop 25 headquartered at the All Saints Episcopal Church in downtown Attleboro. Being a Life Scout is one rank below being an Eagle which is the highest rank a Scout can earn in Boy Scouts. I have received approval from the Annawon Council of the Boy Scouts of America to complete my Eagle Project which will be a community service project where I lead a group of volunteers to make improvements to the fields used by Attleboro Youth Soccer.

After being in Attleboro Youth Soccer for 11 years’ worth of soccer teams, I chose to do an Eagle Project that gives something back to Attleboro Soccer and the fields where I spent many years from age 5 through 15.

In order to complete my Eagle Project, I need to coordinate a project that will take approximately 200 volunteer hours, collect donations from organizations and other parties to pay for the cost of the project, and organize the days on which volunteers help me to complete the project.

During my project, I plan to do the following:

Paint Dodgeville soccer storage tank
Build signs announcing that fields are the home of Attleboro Youth Soccer
Build a bulletin board at the entrance that will relay information to parents and players
Landscape the area between the fence and the storage tank
Build benches for spectators at the fields

I need donations to pay for materials, supplies, tools or financial assistance to the cost of the project.

Please note that the City of Attleboro Recreation Department would be the beneficiary of this project and any assistance with my project would not benefit me, Troop 25 or the Boy Scouts of America.
