The Children's Memorial in Springfield, Ohio offers a peaceful place for families to come remember their loved ones that have passed too soon. Over the past four years, an area that has sadly been known for its tragic past in our town has been transformed to a serene memorial to honor children.
Unfortunately, as of late, theives have damaged the memorial and stolen equipment. The owner of the property has encurred all of the costs to build the memorial as well as the upkeep, but now needs the community's help to continue. These kind hearted souls have put countless hours, dollars and labor into making a place to offer peace and serenity to those that have gone through the hardest of losses- now is the time we, as a community, need to show our support to help them continue to do so.
We are seeking donations for several costs- the first to replace the pond pump and fish feeder that have been stolen as well as to purchase new fish, as most have died as a result of the thefts. Additional funds will be used to help maintain the property, increase security and make new additions to the memorial.
