Help me march with the Academy Drum and Bugle Corps!
My name is Arielle Brooke Watson. Drum Corps has been my dream since I began marching band. Originally, my goals were aimed much higher at corps like The Santa Clara Vanguard and The Blue Knights. However, when I learned that there was a DCI corps in Arizona, I knew I had to go for it.
I need funds, however, to pay for the application fee, and the camp fee. These are only so I can audition. I am practically on my own with this, and my parents are not much able to help me financially. I have been trying to find a job since before I graduated high school in May, and it has proven itself to be very difficult. I am also starting school in the fall at a Community College, so all of my spare money is going towards textbooks.
I am a player of many instruments (including the flute, trumpet, oboe, piccolo, violin, and some percussion), and I will be auditioning on the mellophone. I've been in music classes since 6th grade, and it has always been a passion of mine. Learning a new instrument is always something exciting to me, and I love seeing how they work, and meeting people who are just as an enthusiast as myself!
Please help me out! Even fifty cents will help so much! I have until the end of October to reach at least $145 (I am raising a bit extra because of gofundme's "tax").
