UKRAINIAN SEPARATISTS KIDNAPPED ME and stole my return US plane ticket, passport, money and camera equipment. I need to return to the US for cancer treatment and an operation or lose my ability to walk properly or worse.
I was traveling by car to the site of the crash of the Malaysian airliner shot down in Eastern Ukraine when my driver and I were stopped and robbed by Ukrainian separatists and we were 'detained'. I had to use all my money and borrow more to pay a 'ransom' for return of my passport and my freedom.
I have lost use of my return plane ticket and it cannot be replaced. My photo equipment valued at thousands was taken from me and not returned.
I need to get to my treating doctors and hospital in Seattle for overdue cancer treatment and an operation or risk losing my ability to walk . . . or maybe worse.
I am an internationally known photographer. I am a 'fine arts' photographer not formally employed living on Social Security of a few hundred dollars a month. My photo work is well known internationally but has not been for sale; I am preparing gallery and museum exhibitions and photo books all without advance pay.
Because of injuries, I must travel with special airline accommodations.
I must travel soonest to the USA to see my doctors and get cancer treatment and an indicated leg operation in the United States. It cannot be done in Ukraine/their medicine is not up to Western standards and the treatment is beyond their capabilities.
I must do this as soon as possible according to my Ukrainian and US doctors or I run the risk oF dangerous, perhaps fatal, consequences, but I am currently marooned in Ukraine without any other help or money except for food. My Ukrainian visa is now expired and cannot be renewed subjecting me to possible severe penalties.
PLEASE HELP WITH A DONATION OF WHATEVER YOU CAN AFFORD, AND HELP ME GET HOME TO THE USA AND LIFESAVIING MEDICAL TREATMENT.
