CCBallet Fall Kickoff

Tax deductible

PLEASE DONATE TO OUR FALL KICKOFF!
WE ARE RAISING $20K IN 20 DAYS
FOR OUR 2014 FALL SEASON

Artistry, grace, and excellence define Canyon Concert Ballet and Canyon Concert Dance Center.  For thirty-six years, we have brought the art of dance to thousands of people of all ages through performances and classes.  We just completed our summer program filled with dance intensives, camps, classes, as well as community outreach performances at Streetmosphere by our Youth Ensemble group.  Canyon Concert Ballet and Dance Center is now shifting our focus to the exciting season ahead.

Our company dancers, students, and parents volunteer 100% of their time and do not get paid for their rehearsals or performances.

Live Symphony music for the Nutcracker costs over $25,000.

It takes $90,000 to present the Nutcracker every year!

Ticket prices pay for only half of what the audience sees.

2 pair of pointe shoes for each Company Dancer costs over $1,700 per production.

Costume repair and alterations cost over $1500.

Stage Sets and backdrops cost over $5,000

Choreography, stage management, and lighting cost over $20,000.

Our local shows give our students "real world" dance and performance experience.

Nearly 90+ local kids and 30+ teens and adults dance in the Nutcracker every year.

Please contribute to ensure Canyon Concert Ballet's future so we can continue to bring these high quality performances to the community of Fort Collins and Northern Colorado.

All donations are tax deductible!
(CCB is a 501 (c)3 Non-Profit Organization)

ARTISTIC DIRECTOR DANIEL SIMMONS

For the past few years, we have contracted artists to stage our major productions, while we searched for the perfect candidate to lead Canyon Concert into the future.  This season, we are thrilled to introduce Daniel R. Simmons, who officially joined Canyon Concert in August of 2014.

Mr. Simmons, a San Francisco Ballet School, Ford Foundation scholarship recipient, joined the San Francisco Ballet in 1968.  He performed soloist and principal roles with the San Francisco Ballet, Royal Winnipeg Ballet, Ballet Del Nuevo Mundo-Caracas, Deutsche Oper Berlin and Les Grands Ballet Canadiens.  He graduated with honors from the Royal Academy of Dancing, Professional Dancers Teachers' Course, London, England and received ballet and teacher training to include a teacher's certificate from Vaganova Choreographic Institute in Russia and Tbilisi Opera theatre, Tbilisi, Georgia.  He was Artistic Director, San Jose Dance Theatre, San Jose, California.  Director of Mountain View Academy of Ballet, Mountain View, CA., director/chair of the Otto M. Buding Academy of Cincinnati Ballet, Cincinatti, OH., and Artistic Director of Ballet Theatre Midwest, Cincinnati, OH.  We know that Mr. Simmons will guide the company in a professional manner that also honors the right heritage of Canyon Concert and the community that he now calls home.

2014-2015 PERFORMANCE SCHEDULE

Mr. Simmons is already bringing his enthusiasm to our organization through classes and programming.  Mr. Simmons will lead the CCB Company, along with the Fort Collins Symphony under the direction of Wes Kenney, as we perform the beautiful holiday producton of The Nutcracker on December 12-14, 2014 at the Lincoln Center.  A smaller version of the production will take place at the Rialto theatre in Loveland, CO November 29th.  The Company perform Mr. Simmon's version of Snow White on April 11 & 12, 2015 at the Lincoln Center, in Fort Collins.

YOUR TAX DEDUCTIBLE CONTRIBUTION

We strive to set ticket prices at a level where all who are interested are able to attend.  As a result, these fees do not fully cover the costs of production.  As a 501 (c)3 non-profit organization, we rely on personal and business tax deductible donations to bridge the gap between ticket sales and production costs.  We also offer scholarships for students who might otherwise be denied the opportunity to dance and perform and we would love to expand this program to meet the growing needs in our community.  This is your opportunity to support this tradition of excellence.

Your contribution will help maintain and grow this important local cultural offering.  Every donation makes a differece!

We hope to see you at one or more of our performances.

With sincere appreciation,
