Sara is Donating Her Hair!

Despite loving my very long, never-dyed brown hair very much I am cutting it off to donate it to a great cause! When I heard about the Wigs for Kids program I knew I had to check it out and I couldn’t be happier that I did! The program allows kids up to age 18, who have lost their hair due to a medical condition, to receive a wig or hair piece cost-free with maintenance and styling included for a whole year. The only stipulation is that each wig costs $1,800 to make and maintain for one (1) year; therefore, I want to donate at least $1,800 to allow them to change at least one more child’s life! I’m very nervous to be cutting off 12+ inches of my hair but I know that it can be used by someone else who doesn’t have the choice to grow hair; someone who yearns to have a full head of hair again; someone who deserves to feel wonderful about the way they look and to truly feel it in their heart.
