Pedal To The Pines - NFP

Pedal To The Pines is a not-for-profit company seeking backing to cover costs in organizing our tax exempt status as well as our 3rd annual 100+ mile, single day flagship bicycle ride. Our goal is to start a tax-exempt charitable organization with the mission of planning fundraising events to generate money for other non-profit organizations that focus on eliminating cancer from this world.

Our flagship event is a single day, 100 mile ride from the Chicagoland area to central Michigan. We plan to eventually grow the NFP and begin organizing other fundraising events such as an annual 3v3 basketball tournament.

The first $1000 raised will be exclusively used to cover the federal and state application fees for the tax exempt corporation status. All other funds will go directly to Pedal to the Pines cancer charity choice - this year we are donating ALL proceeds to the Jimmy V Foundation for Cancer Research. 

The Jimmy V Foundation was founded by Jimmy Valvano, the legendary college basketball coach who passed away from cancer in 1993.  Before his passing, he started the Jimmy V Foundation with the goal of finding a cure for cancer.  His foundation has been working diligently and has been fundamental in developing new methods for cancer treatment.
