We are the SaveTheHorses, a non-profit and no-kill shelter. Our GoGreen Initiative is our mission to build a more sustainable rescue. Our farm houses over 90 rescue animals, and we are in dire need of altering our current manure management program. Help us build a sustainable composting structure to protect our watershed!

SaveTheHorses (Horse Rescue Relief and Retirement Fund, Inc.) is a non-profit that was established in 1998. Our mission is to rescue abused, abandoned and neglected horses and other animals. We are an all-volunteer organization, operating solely on the donations given through the generosity of compassionate and caring people.
Our GoGreen Initiative is our mission to create a more sustainable rescue. Our goals include: build a sustainable composting system, prevent further erosion of land, and create a system to re-use harvested rainwater. Any donation will help us on our way to creating a more sustainable operation and ensure the protection of our environment. Please consider supporting us in our endeavor to reduce our impact on the Altamaha River Basin!
Meet one of our residents, our sweet baby, Bugg.
Bugg was malnourished and dehydrated, close to death when he was found by SaveTheHorses volunteers. He was brought to the rescue, and although it was touch-and-go for a while, he's survived.
Going "Green" will help us care for more horses like Bugg and Rossa.
