Destination Imagination is an after school club whose purpose is to inspire and equip students to become the next generation of innovators and leaders. DI fosters students curiosity, courage, creativity and technical know how as they solve challenges together as a team.
On April 11, 2015 the Canyon Ridge Middle School teams #1 and #2 took second place in each of their challenges at the Texas state Destination Imagination tournament, qualifying them to compete in the Global Finals at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville, TN on May 21-24. Hundreds of teams from around the world will compete!
The teams have a very short period of time to raise funds to be able to afford the trip. Round trip airfare to Nashville, a bus from Nashville to Knoxville and back, lodging, food and entrance fees for the competition add up to approximately $22,000 for all 14 team members. We are encouraging you to sponsor these DI students so that they can reach this goal they have worked so hard to achieve!
