Military Vet Needs New Home

Donation protected
This home is in terrible shape because of the rats. Almost everything has to be thrown away. When we moved a coffee table a rat ran out from under it. The bed can't be slept on, and the electric recliner that he sits in is just as bad. This is a bad situation. We are helping get rid of the rats, we are helping clean up, replacing sheet rock, removing all of his contaminated insulation, replacing it with brand new better insulation and doing as much to stop the rats getting in as possible.

However, we are just one company and can only do so much. This Veteran needs help replacing everything including furniture and home goods. Any help with any furnishings or appliances would be spectacular! Any help in bringing this home up to proper code in every way would be amazing!

UPDATE!!!! The Journey to our Goal hit an obstacle.

09/25/2015
As you are aware our Company, Critter Control of Houston, was called out to the Lloyd's home on September 7th of this year about rats. When we got out to the home the rat situation was out of control. We immediately knew that this was going to require more than your normal rat removal. The home had to be gutted and most things in the Lloyd's home had to be replaced. We reached out to the community for help in making this Veteran's home a better place and the news team helped do this. We were able to get commitments for almost everything needed in a home so replacing the Lloyd's belongings is something that we are able to do.
We've had an electrician volunteer time, we have an a/c company ready to fully replace the Lloyd's air conditioner system,  we have a garage door company willing to replace both garage doors but it's not been enough. The problem is these generous people no longer have a place to drop off the goods for the Lloyd's because despite our best efforts the home was declared structurally unsafe yesterday.
During the process of removing the sheet rock, the team found termite damage so extensive that the home was declared structurally unsafe by the City of Baytown.
At this point we are hoping for your help again. We need to help the Lloyd's. The Lloyd's need a new home. The ideal being that this property is demolished and a new home built on this site. This would be the quickest and the best use of funds. This is beyond anything Critter Control can do.
Mr. Lloyd was in the Air Force during the Korean War. He served as a fire Marshall in Beaumont, TX for 15 years and taught at Texas A&M fire school. Someone who has given so much to our country, our state, and our community deserves our help.
Please donate what funds you can, if you know builders who are looking for a worthy cause to support let them know what is going on so maybe they can help. Share this story on your Facebook and Twitter accounts.

Thank you All
