School Music = Student Success

There have been so many studies linking music education to the success of students in all areas of education and life.  Music teaches skills that will not only give them confidence, but also make them into key team players in their chosen field of work as adults.  As with many programs, maintaining and improving music education costs money.  The love of music in my school is amazing.  Students want to practice at recess, they sing in Liturgical Music once a week, and join other musical groups such as the Hand Bell Choir and the singing choir.  They want to be a part of special projects such as festivals, performances at the Legislature,  seniors homes, for their parents and most importantly, they want to play their instruments because it makes them feel good about themselves. With additional equipment, our students can bring quality instruments home to practice, have access to music that is at a suitable level, and compete in music festivals.
