Help UCV's road to COLMUN 2017

COLMUN stands for the Colombian Model of United Nations, which has been active since 2010, being the official, and the biggest Model of United Nations in Colombia. It consists of a simulation of the United Nations's commitees, where students of national and international universities get together with the purpose of discussing the international affairs that affect our world, and of searching for possible solutions. COLMUN's next edition will be done on April 2017. Treating International problems in the sphere of respect, diplomacy, tolerance, and the pacific resolution of controversies, COLMUN provides the students involved in this activity abilities in different areas such as leadership, communication, oratory, negotiation, and mediation.
Besides, it also provides them with a cultural and intellectual background, consequences of the academic preparation that follows the participation on this event, as well as a cultural exchange, originated in the interaction between students of different countries. We are a group of students, of different professional careers, of the Central University of Venezuela (UCV). Since May 2016, we have been preparing ourselves for COLMUN's next edition in different areas of knowledge and skills, such as negotiation, oratory, and investigation of the international topics that occur in our dynamic world, and which are treated within the United Nations.
We have attended several of the most prestigious models in our country, such as:
- University of Carabobo Model of United Nations (UCMUN 2014, 2015) -.
- Venezuela's International Model of United Nations (MOVENU Internacional 2015)
- University of Yacambú Model of United Nations (UNYMUN 2015)—in which we achieved the award for Best Delegation.
We are young entrepreneurs with great academic performance, determination, and a big goal: to greatly heighten the name of our country, Venezuela, and our alma mater, the Central University of Venezuela, beyond our frontiers. If you have the will and the capability, feel free to help us achieve our goal.
