Let´s Go Living in the Past: Cob Houses!

Let´s go living in the fairy tales, too... This cob house is the first one from the Fairy Tale District of an Ancient Village to-come in the idyllic hills of Transylvania. It will allow children (and adults alike) to live and feel the history. We, a Romanian NGO, started already to build it and keep the finger crossed for new financial support to come in.
The visitors will have the opportunity to dwell, dress, eat, work and have fun exactly as our ancestors have, 2000 years ago: brush their teeth with salt on the finger,
Cook their bread in clay ovens,
Make fire without matches,
Sing, play and dance like 2000+ years before,
Milk real, life-sized cows,
Weave rugs,
Get challenged by exercises and activities led by the Sanctuary´s "Great Priest" and "Great Teacher",
Learn about plants and their effects (...on a square meter of a hayfield like ours above grow about 60 different species!)
Learn ancient Rules of Life like What we release in the world comes back to us, and We can´t do alone what we can do together...
... And so many, many other things...!

This first house will be more expensive than the next ones because of several one-time-only things:
- Yes, there is plenty of clay and straw around, dirt-cheap. But the closest place we can buy the missing sand, stones and gravel, and part of the wood, is some 15 km away.
- The dirt road to our place is romantic but awful. We need to "spoil" a bit of romanticism to make it more driveable for transporting heavier materials. The visitors will also thank you for taking care of their clean feet!
- We do have water in the depth but have to "upgrade" : ) the well. The groups of visitors to-come will need even more water, so we´ll need to dig also a fountain.
- To have the paperwork OK we need to pay soon the geological survey of the whole parcel. AND the architect who´ll draw the plans after building this experimental house which architects around would make plans for in advance only for sky-high prices.
- We´ll also have to pay the labor for this first house, because the place is a wonderful yet in a pretty remote area. Nobody drops by, and before our project becomes known, we can´t rely on volunteers.
