Join Kordell Stewart in supporting the elimination of the R-word, which hurts and demeans others, by making a donation to Special Olympics Georgia.

On Sept. 16th, Kordell and other area celebrities will bowl in an effort to raise awareness at funds at Strike the R-word at Bowlmor Atlanta. If you would like to also bowl, email [email redacted] for details.

Kordell, a former Pittsburgh Steeler, has championed eliminating the R-word and create a community where every person who is given respect and dignity.

He was the keynote speaker at Special Olympics Georgia’s 2014 rally against the R-word at Turner Field and spoke about needing to recognize the value in others, particularly those individuals which society has historically marginalized. Most recently, he was grand marshal of Special Olympics Georgia State Summer Games Opening Ceremony at Emory University.

About Kordell:
Among NFL quarterbacks, Kordell’s 38 rushing touchdowns ranks second all-time, behind Steve Young's 43. The NFL Network named him #6 on its list of the 10 most versatile players in NFL history. Playing for the University of Colorado in 1994, he completed a 74-yard Hail Mary touchdown pass into the end zone to the wide receiver in the closing, which was known as “The Miracle at Michigan,” in the closing seconds to beat the Michigan Wolverines. Kordell has been co-host of “Game Time” on Atlanta’s 92-9 The Game.

He lives in Roswell and has a son, Syre.
