Get Moriearty Design running!

The background: This is my mom. She has been out of work for a long while, and her unemployment has long since run out. She's been applying to every local place since day one, but there's been no luck. So I consider this all for her.

What I plan: I've started a personal business, Moriearty Hobby Supply, and am now on Facebook, Tumblr, and Twitter. Things are set up. 

I've had a lifelong love of writing and games. Video games for all the technology, creativity, and artistic labor that goes into them, and tabletop games for the ability to laugh with your friends and the stories they create.

So I will be designing, making, and selling gaming supplies, video- and tabletop-game related artwork and jewelry, and want to fill holes in the market that large manufacturers won't.

With funding, I'll be able to stock some of the common supplies and be able to afford the equipment and materials to make custom items and devote time to design and manufacture. I'll even be able to write some fiction, and do the design work to make custom dice and jewelry pieces (2 years of 2D CAD classes, and a desire to learn more!). The first plan is to provide a line of hand-cast precision dice.

Mostly, I want enough to promote the business. Enough for a decent camera so I can showcase the products, and to keep me focused on designing more. And enough for a website, to centralize everything.
I might also make potato salad.

This is a labor of love; the dream is just to be able to pay rent by making people happy.
