Cliff's life savings

85 year old Cliff Kitching has been involved in a battle with Middlesbrough Council over his access rights, rights which Cliff has had all his life. In 2016 Middlesbrough Council decided they would start the process of blocking Cliff's access route to his garage and to his back garden, something they had promised they wouldn't do.

This attack on his rights has cost Cliff over £9,000 which his life savings and seriously impacted on his health. Cliff has undergone 30 blood transfusions and needs regular visits from community nurses.

Before this all started Cliff was in good health, he was active for his age, now Cliff doesn't do much of the things he used to do due to illness.

This fund has been started by the Nunthorpe Working Together Team with the support of Cliff's family.

All funds raised will go directly to covering Cliff's legal bill's and any additional money raised will be donated to the haematology department of James Cook University Hospital, as they have provided Cliff with a tremedous amount of care during this difficul time.
