It's natural for a dog to want to socialize and play with other dogs, and a dog park is the perfect setting for your dog to be able to run free without having to worry about getting into trouble. A dog park is a place where dogs can get exercise, play with other dogs, or just rest in a comfortable and controlled setting.
Just about every city and town in the United States has a dog park - its time for Clarion to have one too!
Clarion PUPS is a 501c3 NonProfit Organization whos mission is to provide care and homes for stray, lost and otherwise displaced canines. The late Dr. G. Allen Haws donated property in Strattanville, PA to Clarion PUPS and per our discussion with Dr. Haws, plans were made to open a community dog park to honor his memory and life long work of caring for animals.
Generous memorial donations along with general donations from the public have allowed us to clear the land, have a general parking area created, as well as commercial chain link fence for the front and back installed. In order to complete the park we are going to need additonal public support and funds. Part of our fundraising efforts will include this GoFundMe campaign. Specific items needed include: more chain link for the sides, expanded parking including paving, sinage, water lines, insurance, a pavillion or building, along with many other incidental expenses.
