Chrisanne's Cancer Battle Fund

Please take a minute to read, my name is Chrisanne I am 39 years young, and a single parent of my precious 16yr daughter, never thought for once I would be going through something like this especially at my age. If you can help, anything at all it would make things alot easier, in this crazy, time of our lives.
I was diagnosed with inflammatory breast cancer HER2 positive stage 3, about 2 weeks ago. I am a fighter and I am going to get past this. Now if you google inflammatory breast cancer, it is very scary aggressive and a potentially invasive type cancer, but my doctors at Baylor are very comforting, and I feel better almost every time I go to the Charles Sammons cancer center and Texas Oncology, I am learning a lot about cancer now than I ever knew before. One thing I want to come out of this is to at least bring some attention to Inflammatory breast cancer since, it is most the time misdiagnosed as fibrocystic tissue in which 50 to 70 % of women will develope in there lifetime. I was miss-diagnosed in September, and if I was sent then to get my mammogram instead of being told to wait till June (which I still didn't make it to June) to schedule it when i turn 40, then i may have been in stage one.
Well it is what it is and here I stand at stage three, ready to battle this crazy disease, my family has been crazy supportive. So here is my treatment, I should be starting chemo Friday, was supose to start Tuesday, but since my treatments are 6 hours long they had to fit me in, as things are moving so fast, becuase of the fast growing aggresive and potential invasive cancer could spread.I was told anywhere between a couple of days to three weeks, all my hair will more than likely fall out. I have six sessions, every three weeks. They told me I would feel sick for a week after chemo, then fine the second and third week, then time for chemo again.  I will have a double mastectomy, after four weeks after I heal from chemotherapy. The recovery time for the doube masetctomy is 6 weeks, so for right now I am working all the time between doctor appointment, and hopefully i can do the same for chemo, I'm just trying to keep my 40 hours to keep my insurance, and not use my 9 vacation days I have till then.  Then starts the radiation, I dont know for how long I will need it but I do know that it will be daily, then after completely healing I will have reconstructive surgery. This may take a long time, it may stretch out well over a year, but with all of your help support and prayers,  but I'm going to beat this, I know I am, and God I'm going to be stronger than I could have even imagined , I have already gained so much strength even withing the past few years. Love you all and God bless, if you have not done so this month, please check your boobies!
