Why We Need Your Help
Donations or not, we are set to open the show November 22, 2015 (the anniversary of the JFK assassination) for a 5 weekend run in Los Angeles! Your donations will help us get there easier! Before starting this campaign, we were paying everything 100% out-of-pocket,

Producing a show takes a lot of help from a lot of people. We need to cover costs for: performance venue, rehearsal space, set, costumes, marketing, cast, and crew!

The Play

Children of Camelot is an alternate reality play about the Kennedy assassination. On November 22, 1963, President John F Kennedy was assassinated, and two days later, his alleged assassin, Lee Harvey Oswald, was also killed. What if one of these two men survived? How would the lives of those around them be effected? Children of Camelot is a character driven piece that takes a historical event and turns it on its head, questions fairness, and strives to show us how people handle pain under extraordinary circumstances.

The History
The idea for Children of Camelot arose when the playwright, Nakisa Aschtiani, watched a television program on the JFK assassination. She kept hearing Lee Harvey Oswald referred to as the assassin of President Kennedy. Nakisa realized that, although Oswald never stood trial, he was convicted of Kennedy's murder. She wondered what happened to the notion of "innocent until proven guilty."

Children of Camelot was a semi-finalist at the Actors' Theatre of North Carolina and winner of Long Beach Playhouse's New Works' Festival in California. Earlier this year, it went on to receive a staged reading and workshop production both at Long Beach Playhouse.
