Chemotherapy for Rita Salone

Donation protected
My mother has a rare form of cancer called PEcoma. She was initially misdiagnosed with a different type of cancer and given only a couple of months to live. When she went for a second opinion they told her she had a chance with a new type of chemotherapy they were just testing out. She started the new chemotherapy and like a miracle her tumor started shrinking. But my mother's immune system was vulnerable and she picked up a bacterium in the hospital which made her really sick and almost took her from us. Because she was so sick she had to miss a lot of her chemotherapy because they don't give it unless a patient is healthy enough to handle it. While she sat sick her tumor continued to grow untreated. When she became healthy enough to get back into chemo her doctor decided he would go with a new oral type of chemotherapy to slow the tumors growth before giving her more chemo to kill the tumor. The chemo was ordered but my mom's insurance company denied her claim to help her pay for the chemo that would slow the tumors growth. They told her that her copay for the oral pills would be $5000 for 14 pills. She needs to take a total of 28 to slow the tumors growth. My mother is on a fixed income and all her money is going toward keeping her house and having the right kind of foods to give her energy and keep her alive. She told me she didn't want to fundraise but I don't want to lose my mother and the only way for her to remain alive is for the tumor to stop growing. It is taking two quarts of her blood from her a week and she needs the growth to stop now. I am starting a campaign to raise the 10,000 dollars it will take for her to copay for the chemotherapy she needs to live. My mom doesn't know I've started this campaign and I don't want her to begin to worry. As she sits upstairs begging her insurance company and the hospital for more options i am trying to find a way for us to pay for the chemo her doctor prescribed. please help....every little bit counts. $5000 will buy her 14 pills $10,000 the full 28.
