Courtney here, a friend of Rachel Green's. Since 2006, I have watched our beloved friend push and motivate others, students and colleagues alike, to follow their dreams and never give up. And since 2006 I have bugged her to follow her dream of become a chef...and that dream is about to become a reality!
On May 13th, Rachel Green won the Rachael Ray Culinary Tuition Competition . Rachel beat out countless audition videos to make it to 3 incredible finalists. While making chicken and a asparagus potatoe soup, Rachel won the competition. The prize? A full tuition to the International Culinary Center in New York City, a culinary tip to Mexico and a prize package of Rachael Ray cookware. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to make her dreams a reality!!!
So why the Go Fund Me?
Rachel is a phenomenal educator and career counselor...but her passion is cooking and God has continued to make space for that passion. One of the ways God has pushed her is to take away all those other opportunities and render her unemployed. Yes, He got her attention! While unemployed, there are still bills to pay and for 6 months Rachel will have double bills in NYC and Greenville. She needs our help.
Rachel no doubt has touched your life...I know she has impacted mine immensely. Maybe you were a student, or a colleague. Maybe you heard her speak. Maybe you attend church with her or maybe you have had the absolute pleasure of hearing her sing. Maybe she helped you get a job, and maybe she completely changed your life by believing in you when no one else would. Now it's our turn to pay her back and help her achieve this dream.
Rachel put one of her passions on hold to pursue a passion of helping others...so let's help her.
