Help out a struggling family

My name is Corey, I'm on here because I need help and I'm out of options. In May this year my wife was clawed back on her child tax benefit, leaving her with zero income, a new baby in July and me scrambling to pay rent and keep the fridge stocked.

When my daughter was born this summer I really started asking myself what I want to do with my life, I decided to follow a passion for cooking, and am now enrolled in culinary training at Liaison College here in Barrie. It is a private school so it's all out of pocket. I'll graduate Sept. 2015 and I will be graduating at the honors level, I will accept nothing less.

Penelope was born July 4th and perfectly healthy. Our son Henry, born in 2010, was recently diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder. We are so blessed to be able to see the world through his point of view and can appreciate the little victories when he tries a new taste and tells us it's yummy. If it weren't for his disability credit approval this August, we wouldn't have a home to live in right now. Trying to catch up has us living paycheque to paycheque, even being stuck in pay loans more lately to keep up. I have little avenues for help as I messed up my credit early on, diligently paying into a consumer proposal to fix that.


My kids changed my life in every conceivable way. I'm more loving, more patient than I ever was. I also found myself yearning to do something with my life that I was actually passionate about. Cooking is that passion.

I ask to find it in yourselves to pledge even a little bit. It's not a massive tuition, but it feels like it is right now.
