Picture me rolling...My name is Diema AKA Chef Dee. I am the owner of Chef Dee Creations in combination with Brown Sugar Catering Co. Born and raised in the Bay, I have lived and worked here in Northern California all my life. The Bay Area and I share a love for culture, adventure, success and food.
As a child, growing up in East Oakland wasn't always easy. But it taught me how to deal with adversities and economic struggles. While the struggles are still evident and real, I continue to fight to make my dreams a reality.
Being a wife and mother of 4, I am accustomed to maintaining a budget. I plan to use the campaign funds to purchase a used catering truck as well as pay for some of the necessary fees (repair/upgrades/maintenance, licenses, registration, insurance, equipment, supplies, gas, etc.) to maintain it. Looking to serve Alameda and Contra Costa County to start.
For the last 10 years I have been proudly serving the Bay Area one plate at a time. I've catering everything from government luncheons to Baby Showers. As a student of Diablo Valley College in Pleasant Hill I had the pleasure to work at Pebble Beach's celebrity golf tournament and their annual car show. I have also worked for some of the leading catering companies in the Bay Area. One allowed me the wonderful opportunity to be lead chef at various concerts and stand up comedy shows held here in Northern California. I was blessed with the opportunity to work at the San Francisco America's Cup during the duration of the races, for most of the concerts held at the Pavilion.
I am confident in my abilities and know I have gained the necessary tools to make this venture a success. Unfortunately, one of the things I currently lack are funds needed to purchase a truck and the capital to secure a loan.
I love the Food Truck scene! I believe its the best avenue for me because it;

Allows me to be mobile
Have direct interaction with customers
Not a lot of staff needed

Our customers can look forward to seeing a set menu on our truck. We would also have daily/event specials which would include our famous PBS (Polenta Bacon Shrimp), Bacon Mack & Cheese and our Chocolate Satin Chicken Wings. Let's not forget about our dessert selections. Ranging from Cobblers to Bourbon Bread Pudding.
The culinary world is an amazing place. There's so much to explore. I love making food the strikes a nerve and hits you in the heart. I enjoy created dishes that take you to a happy place. It bring me joy to see people happy and I have found the best way for me to do that is through food. Help me spread a little love around the Bay Area and put smiles on a few beautiful and handsome faces.
