The CENTCOM Family Activities Association (CFAA) is non-profit organization comprised solely of enlisted members from the United States Army, Navy, Air Force, and Marines who play an integral part of the daily operations at MacDill Air Force Base as well as throughout the USCENTCOM area of responsibility. Our organization supports over 5,000 members, the vast majority of which are veterans. One of CFAA's main efforts is to conduct a quarterly scholarship competition for military and civilian dependents that are currently in their senior year of high school or currently enrolled in an undergraduate program at an accredited college, university or vocational school.
The goal of the CFAA Quarterly Scholarship is for the winning student to use his/her scholarship to achieve their educational goals while raising awareness for the importance of higher education. We accomplish this by providing the winner with a one-time $500 grant for tuition, books or any incidental expense(s). So far CFAA has presented one deserving student with their scholarship and we will present our second winner on 23 January 2015. In an effort to grow our scholarship program, we have set the following fundraising goals:
$2000 goal = (1) $500 award per quarter for CY2015
$4000 goal = (1) $500 award of per quarter for CY2015 and CY2016
$8000 goal = (2) $500 awards per quarter for CY2015 and CY2016
CFAA is a non profit organization under Section 510(c)(19) of the Internal Revenue Code (Tax ID 46-09934140) Donations to CFAA may qualify as a charitable donation for federal tax purposes. Consult your tax advisor for more information
