Skylar's Hope
Donation protected
Please help us with your donations. On July 31, Skylar had to be admitted to vet care with what we thought was an infected uterus and she was severely dehydrated and about 24 hours away from dying.
During surgery it was discovered she had intussussion, where the intestines had telescoped and she needed to have abdominal surgery in addition to her spay.
She required hospital stay, antibiotics and rehydrating and when she's stable,a spay and an emergency urgery to save her life.
4Paws Rescue will cover this bill with donations but the amount is crippling for such a small rescue.
Skylar is such a sweetheart and we are hoping she makes a full recovery. She has had a hard life so far. Somebody took her in as a kitten and then didn't spay her. Instead they tossed her out to fend for herself when she went into heat. It's so not fair that she is going through this.
Skylar came to 4Paws Rescue while nursing 7 kittens only 2 weeks ago. She was vaccinated and vet checked and diagnosed with coccidea. While she was being treated for that she began to develop other symptoms. Another trip to the vet and her life now hangs in the balance, she is that ill.
4Paws Rescue gets absolutely no funding, and exists on public donation and pop can collecting only. We are in a northern Ontario community with a small population.
A vet bill of this magnitude is extremely difficult for us to afford. Your help is needed badly.
Please if you can find it in your heart to help us help Skylar, we at 4Paws Rescue would truly be grateful. We are an incorporated not-for-profit organization.
