Celebrating Noah
Donation protected
My name is Walker Brown. I'm a high school student from Tega Cay SC. My friends Alex, Donovan, Graeson and I are known as Noah's Crew, in honor of one of our best friends, Noah Mayberry.
Noah was actually everyone’s best friend, because he always made others feel good just being around him. We lost Noah to bone cancer in December 2011, but his spirit lives on in everyone who knew him.
Noah’s 16th birthday would have been on August 23. While he was in treatment, Noah spent a lot of time at Levine Children’s Hospital in Charlotte. It is a great hospital and they took good care of him and his family.
To honor Noah and celebrate his birthday, we are collecting donations to benefit patients at Levine Children's Hospital. All the money we collect will be used to buy DVDs, games and entertainment from the hospital's wish list for teenage patients at Levine Children's Hospital. (http://www.carolinashealthcare.org/documents/lch/donation-wish-list.pdf)
We will collect donations through Sunday, August 21 and will take gifts to Levine Children's Hospital.
We know Noah would like the idea of celebrating his birthday by making scary, sad or painful days a little brighter for teenagers who are in treatment. On behalf of Noah’s Crew, we ask everyone to please donate and help share this message on social media.
Thank you very much,
Walker Brown, Alex Bogert, Donovan and Graeson Ippolito
