Celebrate Recovery Cherokee Village is a non-denominational, Christ-centered 12 Step program open to anyone desiring to overcome their addictions, compulsive behaviors, resentments, anger, eating disorders, survivors of abuse or any of life's hurts, habits and hang-ups.
Our outreach currently encompasses a 25 mile radius including Sharp and Fulton Counties, Arkansas and extending North into Oregon County, Missouri.
We are currently assisting as many as 30 adults a week at no cost to any of them. As we work on putting our lives back together, it is crucial that we do not erect any further barriers, financial or otherwise, to anyone's continued recovery.
Each Friday we provide a hot meal, followed by a time of worship & prayer, a testimony or lesson on the 12 Steps or 8 Principles of Celebrate Recovery and then separate into small share groups for men and women. We provide a safe environment where confidentiality is maintained, judgment is witheld and healing in Christ can begin.
We are not a self-supporting recovery program; but rely on the generosity of others who support our mission of "proclaiming good news to the poor, binding up the broken-hearted, freeing the captives and releasing the prisoners and comforting those who mourn" - in other words: anybody who is trapped by their past and wants to walk in freedom from this day forward and for all their days.
$2300.00 is our anticipated budget for all of 2015, the majority of that (approx $2000.00) will cover 52 hot meals at about $1.25 per person. The rest provides for serving, cleaning and office supplies, advertising/marketing costs and official Celebrate Recovery meeting materials.
