Soccer for Bridgeport

We are hoping to get SOCCER up and running at Cesar Batalla Elementary School in Bridgeport, CT where they currently have NO ACCESS to a team sport and we need YOUR HELP to make this happen!!
In partnership with Ole' Soccer, we will be running soccer on Tuesday & Thursday afternoons for 50 kids in 3rd - 8th grade at Cesar Batalla in Bridgeport. By the Spring we hope to increase this to 100 kids and also start a boys and girls competition team for 6th - 8th grade.
It costs $40 to fit a student with jersey, shorts, socks, shin guards & ball. It costs $76.80 to have them participate in 16 sessions ($4.80 a session) total of $116.80 per student.
We are rolling this pilot program out with Cesar Batalla with the hope by the Spring we can start this with other elementary schools in Bridgeport, CT.
This funding will kick off the Fall session of soccer for 50 students at Cesar Batalla. These students do NOT HAVE the essesntials such as socks or uniforms.
Cesar Batalla has 100% of the students fed breakfast and lunch everyday at school. It is considered the highest bracket of poverty. These kids have no access to sports programs. We need to help them play a sport. A team sport. The social and emotional impact this would have on a child coupled with the physical side of running around is invaluable. All families live in apartments, shelters or multiplex family living homes.
