Save Billy

Through no fault of his own, our cat Billy is in quarantine for SIX MONTHS. It was this, or he would have to be put down. Unfortunately, there is a cost to keep him safe, and we need your help. The $900 is the exact amount it will take to care for him for the entire time. Please know that any help you can give will be so so so appreciated!
...this is the story: we found a dead bat in the yard, intact, and called animal control. They came and got it, but the bat was too far gone to test for rabies, which has suddenly sprung up in this area. Animal Control consulted with the State doctor because our cat was not bitten, but had been in the same yard with the bat, so no proof that he was not in contact with it. The state doctor gave us an ultimatum of six months quarantine of Billy to determine if he contracted rabies, or euthanasia (death). Billy was a rescue from an abusive "owner" and is not even two years old yet, and a living breathing personality. We choose to keep him alive, and pray the bat was NOT rabid, and that Billy is in the clear.
