The Cancer Convo W/Carter Mason

Hi. My name is Carter Mason, and I had an emergency surgery last August due to a very large tumor which caused a complete blockage in my colon. My life was forever changed. Barely over a month later, scans revealed the cancer had spread to my liver. I had stage 4 colon cancer.
I did not know very much about cancer. I thought I did, since my mother and cousin are both survivors of different types of cancer. But when the diagnosis was mine, I realized I knew very little and quickly found out much of what I thought I knew about cancer was wrong.
It did not take me long to realize that many of my friends and associates had trouble relating to me after they found out I had cancer. I also learned they held many of the misconceptions I had about this disease which nearly half of us will have at some point in our lives.
The desire to help educate others going through what I was and to also help those who know and care about someone with cancer was birthed in me very early on. I did not have the energy or all the resources to produce the video series that began to form in my mind.
Miraculously and much to the pleasant surprise of all my doctors, my cancer is gone. I took an integrated approach to dealing with my disease, and I believe I am in a unique position to help others now more than ever.
Please partner with me by making a contribution. My initial goal gets us started and will be enough to produce the first few videos. I believe this project will resonate with many and together we can positively impact the lives of those whose lives have been altered by this horrible disease.
