Carly's Mission to Kenya, Africa

I am so excited to share that this summer I will be heading back to the Rift Valley of Kenya for a month! I cannot wait!! I will be returning through Love Africa Mission, and even more exciting is that I will be mostly working with children this year and hopefully be interning at a school! I am so excited for a mixture of two of my favorite things: mission work and teaching.
I will be staying in a small town called Kijabe. This is where I stayed last summer too, so I will be excited to return to a familiar place and hopefully see some familiar faces. I should be in Kenya from around May 15th-June 15th.
Something that really struck me as unique about Africa compared to other places I have served and that has created a strong desire in me to return is that the majority of the people there already know Jesus. They love Jesus more than any other people I have met, and this creates a cool opportunity. Instead of teaching, it allowed me to grow and learn more about my Savior. It gave me the chance to come alongside brothers and sisters in Christ and to serve them, to encourage them.
I am so incredibly thankful for the opportunity to return, and I feel humbled to know that God has plans to use me! I would love your support as I prepare for this trip! First and most importantly, I would appreciate it so much if you would be praying for the trip. I ask for prayers for myself and the teams that I will be there with. Prayers that the Lord would use us to further His Glory and that He would ready our hearts for the experiences He has prepared for us. Prayers that we would be able to show His extravagant love in all of our actions and words. I also ask for prayers for the people that the Lord is going to place in our path and that they would have hearts that are eager to listen and obey God's Will.
Your prayers mean so much to me, and I know that the Lord listens and cares about each of them! Also, while I feel uncomfortable asking for financial support, I know that God calls and uses us all in different ways, and I want anyone to have the opportunity to be directly involved in my mission, whether through spiritual or financial support. I am so blessed by every donation and prayer, and every tiny bit helps more than you can imagine!
