CARE FOR GER

Gerardine (Ger) Harty was a very active and vibrant person always ready to chat to anyone.  Always enjoying her sport and her working life was mostly spent in the hospitality field, so most people in the small townships of Donald, Minyip, Horsham and Bendigo knew Ger or as some knew her as Harts. 

 
In 1992 Ger was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis (MS) and her life was virtually changed overnight.  Overtime we have seen the changes Ger has gone through, but she has always had that positive approach and will not let this disease beat her.  Ger is now at stage 2 progressive and we as friends want to give Ger the chance to throw away the walking stick and gopher and to give her the chance to enjoy her independance and mobility once more.

Ger has not lost her love of chatting to anyone and is always the 1st to put her hand up to help anyone new to the town.  Ger’s community spirit is always inspiring and has given so much to the Donald community.  As one of her many friends behind this campaign, we would like to give back to Ger.
