Our aim is to set up a football team where we, the ladies, feel safe to play the game we love regardless of who we are. After some difficult experiences in the past when playing football, we have started from scratch and are looking for sponsors to help us get up and running.
A group of our ladies will be completing the Fun Colour Rush 5k Run on 15th July. We have chosen this as we believe the rainbow-coloured paint we will run through perfectly represents the inclusive team we would like to build, with a particular nod to our LGBT team members, friends and family.
Where will the money go?
Currently, we have a couple of football and a few cones to our name. The money will help us buy the equipment needed so that we can train and build our team.
