i might be addicted to the 'flow state' that art puts you in. that's where Cahya was born. Cahya is a little brainchild of mine, where i have designed swim & sleepwear.
above all sappy stuff i'm about to write about femininity, and what inspired the line... bottom line is: i designed some cute ass bikinis & sleepwear that i can't wait to put into the world!
i've seen a need for cuter, more comfortable suits & lingerie out there and i'm here to fill it.
i'm going to sound like a total granola head here, but what you think about yourself extends into how the world sees you.
& there's something about wearing cute lingerie underneath your normal - unassuming clothes that carry over into your attitude, confidence & the way you view your world.
the same with swimwear!
the feminine spirit is SO unexplainably powerful!
sometimes we can forget we're allowed to embrace that side of us.
both my swim & lingerie is more effortly sexy & embodies that 'kinda trying - but not really trying' vibe lol.
but, i am taking a big risk investing all my money into this idea of mine.
& i am SO extremely grateful to have this instagram platform where i can connect with people around the world. and have an audience to see my ideas. i am so so so grateful. i can only imagine how amazing it will be to have women wearing my creations and feeling great about themselves. <3
THE LOGISTICS!
Bikinis are coming first. Then lingerie.
I can afford to make 3 suits.
I have $5000 to spend.
-I allot $1000 per suit JUST FOR SAMPLING. (to get the fit right)
shipping back and forth from my manufactuer to get the fit right is a big deal & is about $110 ONE WAY.
So that brings me to ~$4,000
From then its mostly smooth sailing. Each piece being $10 max to produce. With a MOQ of ~1000 pieces.
Brings us to $14,000
...plus shipping, fabrics, and extra embellishments (embroidery)
it is safe to say about $15,000.
Right now, it woudl be really, really tough for me to pay $15,000. Like, I'd get a loan haha.
So...
MY CURRENT PLAN:
-push my manufacturer able to do a minimum order (less than 1000 bikinis MOQ)
-Pay half of the production cost, THEN DO PREORDERS!
By the time I'm able to do preorders, I'll be posting with my own suits... wearing them, sendi ng samples to my other influencer friends and gaining traction on my @cahyaco account.
That way I'll be able to pay the rest, get them in my hands, then ship out the bikinis to the buyers!
