Young Women of South Africa

Donation protected
3 years ago I was honored to speak at Sci-Bono Discovery Center's  annual Girl Learner Program.  Here is the story about my visit to Johannesburg, South Africa: http://tobeshe.wordpress.com/

This year the Center has invited me once again to join other women to speak to approximately 1600 girls as we celebrate the generosity and tenacity of women in Science, Engineering, Mathematics and Commerce from the 14th – 15th August 2014.

The objectives of the Girl Learner Programme is to:
a) Raise awareness about the fields of Science, Engineering and Commercial subjects to a selected group of Grade 9 – 12 girl learners.
b)  Highlight the roles, responsibilities and obligations of women engineers, scientists and professional women in business in the 21st century and give them compelling reasons to follow these fields.
c) Share experiences, knowledge and wisdom with young women aspiring to become the scientists, engineers and financial professionals of the future.
d) Showcase the diversity of career opportunities in Science, Engineering, Finance and Commerce.

I am kindly requesting for donations to fund the food packs/gift bags that the Center will be giving to the girls at the end of the program. The food packs/gift bags will consist of snacks, fruit and arm bands and any other items that will be donated to the Center for the girls.

You are welcome to donate as much as you would like in order to raise money to fund the food packs/gift bags.  Your contribution of any form will be highly appreciated.

Thanking you for your generosity.
