Become a US Citizen

Hi All,
Every now and then the topic comes up...US CITIZENSHIP.
Its an awkard topic because I have been in the US for 30 yrs and have all the rights to be on american soil but is not a US Citizen. Many ask why, simple...I just cannot afford the fee of $595.00.  

My family survived the Killing fields and the best gift they gave my sister and brothers was coming to America. I love this country and want to make it official. 

A lil bit about my family and I. My husband and I have been together for 18 yrs and we have two beautiful healthy boys ages 13 and 8. My boys play sports and my husband puts in extra hours to coach. I support my community on many different events. I have worked in healthcare for 10 yrs and continue to do so. 

I feel weird for doing this but many friends and loved ones assured me this is the best way to go. So here goes it.....

I am very fortunate already in life, this is just a bump in the road that I would like to smooth over.
